Australia opener Cameron Bancroft is to return after having a huge impression.
Even the 26-year-old, who opened in the first two Ashes Tests after beginning the 2019 effort at Durham, will spend the Whole summer at the Emirates Riverside and be available to play all three formats of the
Wicketkeeper-batsman Bancroft’s arrival at Durham was questioned after operating a nine-month ban from the game for his involvement from the 2018 scandal.
However, Bancroft captained Durham in the Specsavers County Championship along with Royal London One-Day Cup this season, scoring 726 runs in a mean of 45.37 in the four-day match and adding 377 more at 94.25 in the 50-over format.
He had been called to Australia’s Ashes team however suffered a challenging time on international responsibility, scoring eight and seven in the first Test at Edgbaston and also 13 and 16 at the moment before losing his position.
